Drug dealer arrested in West Putney; £2,200 and 30 snap bags seized!

Dear West Putney residents,

On the 9th of April whilst on our patrols within the ward, officers have spotted two mopeds with a male standing near them within Innes gardens hiding behind a building attempting to conceal himself from the public’s view. We have decided to investigate this behaviour and pulled the vehicle over to where the male was standing and he then attempted to run away from the officers, which resulted in a short foot chase. 

The suspect was quickly apprehended and detained, alongside another male that was making his way towards the mopeds. Officers have then searched both males for any illegal products and discovered Class B drugs (namely cannabis) alongside a large sum of cash on one of the males. One male was arrested for PWITS Class B.

In total, approximately 30 “snap bags” of cannabis was seized alongside approximately £2,200 in cash.
